Pekka Urvas

In consulting, Pekka is driven by a curiosity to understand businesses in depth, from their everyday challenges to the factors shaping long-term success. He enjoys seeing the real-world impact of strategic choices and thrives on turning complex problems into actionable insights through diligent data analysis. Working closely with clients and genuinely understanding their perspectives is what makes the work most rewarding for him.

Pekka joined August full-time in 2025, having first completed his internship with the firm in 2023. He holds an M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering and Management from Aalto University and has previous experience in consulting in the real estate and healthcare industries.

Outside of work, Pekka is a generalist in sports, enjoying everything from padel and football to his recent passion, surfing. He also finds balance in cultural activities, reading, and spending quality time with his partner, dog, and family.

Pekka is excited to brave the future at August, as it means solving demanding client problems alongside talented and motivated colleagues.
