Jari Simolin

Jari is an Executive Advisor at August, with extensive hands-on retail experience spanning more than 30 years across grocery, consumer goods, and specialty retail. He has broad experience in both Finnish and European retail and is well connected internationally. Jari operates fluently at the strategic, tactical, and operational levels, while always keeping the big picture in mind. His guiding principle is that a strong strategy can effectively steer even a large organization’s day-to-day execution.

Jari is highly energized by a wide range of challenges and opportunities. He is motivated by setting clear goals and working systematically to improve performance and deliver results. He also recognizes that results are achieved through people, and therefore leading change requires special attention.

In his free time, Jari spends most of his time with his family and his Labrador retrievers. He also enjoys going to rock gigs with friends, which gives him energy and a real boost.
