Arhi Kivilahti

Arhi gets excited about differentiated companies that dare say no to many exciting opportunities, in order to be exceptionally good in a few things that actually matter for the customer. His primary expertise lies in analysing diverse retailers worldwide.

Arhi has a varied background, holding positions in various aspects of the retail industry. He began his academic career as a researcher at Aalto University, and later served as a visiting researcher at Oxford. After completing his academic studies and spending a couple of years in consulting, he joined Kesko to develop the nascent online grocery business. For the last seven years, he has worked as an entrepreneur — first with an online grocery startup, and for the last five-plus years, as an independent retail analyst and commentator.

Outside of work, Arhi’s time is spent with his family, enjoying food and jogging. He likes to cook, although he admits he’s not very good at it. Jogging and other forms of outdoor exercise are also a way for him to relax and unwind from work. Additionally, he occasionally helps out with his wife’s online toy store.
