Climate transition planning as part of strategy work 

The climate crisis calls for rapid decarbonization to ensure a safe future for us and our children. At the same time, it has far-reaching implications for businesses through both transition and physical impacts. In recent years, August has focused on helping clients embed sustainability into their overall strategic agenda (see, for example, an overview of our thinking here, and insights on integrating sustainability into steering here and in Finnish here). 

This year, we have supported companies in their climate transition planning. While we cannot yet predict which climate scenario will ultimately materialize, such planning ensures that climate-related opportunities and risks are properly accounted for in strategic choices and execution. Read more about our climate transition planning approach and a recent case example here.
